"Joe" Glove Chair by Lomazzi, D’Urbino and De Pas

CA$10,500.00

Rare Early “Joe” Glove Chair by De Pas, D’Urbino & Lomazzi for Poltronova, 1970s. An iconic piece of Italian Pop design, this oversized baseball glove was designed in the early 1970s by Jonathan de Pas, Donato D’Urbino, and Paolo Lomazzi, and produced by Poltronova for Stendig. A tribute to American baseball legend Joe DiMaggio, the chair translates playful Pop Art energy into an arresting sculptural form—equal parts furniture and functional art. This rare early production example features supple leather that has developed a rich, natural patina over time. While it shows some surface scratches consistent with age and use, there are no rips or tears. Generously scaled, it easily seats two. Dimensions: 64” W × 43.5” D × 34.5” H. Seat Height: 17.5” H. Condition: Very Good. Shipping: Worldwide shipping available (not included in price)
